About

Born in northern Italy, I started working part-time in a machine shop when I was 15 and full time after my high school graduation. I developed a true passion for machining and everything else related to it. I am self-educated and a self-starter who loves keeping my skills up to date and learning new ones.

I have over 30 years of combined experience as a machinist/programmer of CNC lathes (2, 4 axis and live tooling) and CNC mills (both vertical and horizontal with 4th/5th axis), successfully machining a wide variety of materials including: different kinds of plastics, aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, steel, cast iron, stainless steel, invar, molybdenum, inconel, titanium, cobalt-chrome. I work with parts ranging from very small to very big and from simple to very complex, with tight tolerances, starting from blueprints, 3D solids, drawings, sketches, written and verbal instructions and working with metric and imperial units.

Highly skilled and efficient programmer with both g-codes and Mastercam. I am an expert in drawing custom jigs, fixtures, and in the machining of complex 3D parts on VMC/HMC with rotary axis and lathes. Prototypes, short runs and the optimization of programs are my strong points.

I have a deep knowledge of many CNCs having worked on many models. Fanuc and Okuma OSP are the ones I know better in every aspect: g-code programming, macro programming, offsets, variables, input/output, parameters, backlash adjustment, etc.
